Our history
Founded in 2009 to bring proper web hosting within reach of Nepali businesses — 17 years on, that is still the whole job.
Web Host Nepal Pvt. Ltd. started in Kathmandu in 2009, at a time when getting a Nepali business online usually meant paying a foreign host in a foreign currency and hoping for the best. We set out to be the alternative: honest pricing in rupees, local payment methods, and support in the same time zone as the person asking.
Since then we have registered more than 30,000 domains and put servers behind sites for everyone from one-page portfolios to national retailers. The mix has changed a great deal in that time — the shop that wanted a brochure page in 2012 now wants a checkout, a mailbox and a backup schedule — and what we sell has followed it.
A website is only worth having if it is up and it is safe. Every plan runs on NVMe storage with LiteSpeed and CloudLinux, with monitoring and backups behind it, and the support desk is open around the clock by telephone, WhatsApp, Viber, live chat and support ticket. No queue to a call centre abroad — the people who answer are the people who run the servers.
We keep adding to what we sell as customers ask for it, which is how the reseller programme, the VPS range, the Node.js and Python stacks and the streaming plans all arrived. If something you need is not on the price list, ask — it may already be on the way.
